We’re back! A smaller version of the Library is in full swing after being closed for a bit. A portion of the collection has been relocated (to storage) and a wall has been erected to create a “West Wing.” For the bulk of its renovation, this west side will be the home of the Library. Operations will shift to the “West Wing” sometime in October.
The Library will be open the same hours as before. It is currently operating on Summer hours:
Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Wed: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Sat: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Sun: Closed. The Library will resume Sunday hours in October.
As a result of the construction, Library programs have moved to a number of different locations throughout the community. Please consult the Library’s current newsletter or Events Calendar for details.
The Library’s Get Your Geek On technology assistance program will continue at the Library on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2 to 4 p.m.
Please be advised that the East Meadow Avenue entrance is closed. You’ll need to utilize the Front Street driveway until further notice.
Computing resources are limited to Google Chromebooks, which are a type of laptop. The Library’s free Wi-Fi is still up and running. Electrical outlets are severely limited and quiet study rooms are unavailable during the renovation period.
Some good news: The Library now subscribes to a number of video on demand resources! Find out more by visiting https://eastmeadow.info/electronic-resources/video/.
