Seed Library

The East Meadow Public Library is pleased to be offering varieties of heirloom vegetable, herb and flower seeds to resident cardholders. East Meadow cardholders of all ages are welcome to choose up to 5 packets of seeds, 1 per variety, to grow in your home garden. Seed germination cannot be guaranteed by the library.

The EMPL Seed Library has been made possible by the generous seed donations of:

  • Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds
  • Burpee Seeds
  • Hicks Nurseries
  • Island Harvest**

**If you find yourself with an excess of produce during the growing season, Island Harvest asks that you consider donating to one of their food pantries. Food pantry locations can be found here.
